There are two individuals who are the driving force behind the creation of the Bill Blade: Glen and Will. Each of them brought unique skills and resources to the table, resulting in a successful partnership.

Glen, the visionary behind the invention, had two crucial components: a brilliant idea and a boat. He recognized the need for a practical and handy tool that could be easily accessible and discreetly carried. Glen’s idea was to create a knife that could be concealed within the bill of a cap or visor.

Will, on the other hand, possessed the necessary resources to turn Glen’s idea into a reality. He had a machine shop where the product could be manufactured, and most importantly, he had Glen’s friendship and trust. The foundation of their partnership was built on mutual respect and a shared vision.

In late March of 2015, Glen paid a visit to Will’s shop. Within just an hour, they had transformed two old credit cards into a basic shape that would perfectly fit the bill of a cap or visor. They understood the importance of using a lightweight and manageable material that wouldn’t interfere with the hat’s functionality. The knife had to be readily available when needed, yet inconspicuous during the rest of the day.

And thus, the Bill Blade was born.
