There is a story behind every invention, and the Bill Blade is no exception. It all started with two guys – Glen and Will.

Glen, the visionary, brought two crucial elements to the table: an idea and a boat. Meanwhile, Will, the skilled craftsman, had two essential things for the creation of the product and a successful partnership: a machine shop and Glen’s friendship and trust.

It was in late March of 2015 when Glen paid a visit to Will’s shop. In just about an hour, they had transformed two old credit cards into a basic shape that would perfectly fit the bill of a cap or visor. They were well aware that the material had to meet certain criteria – lightweight, manageable, and non-interfering with the hat’s function. The knife had to be easily accessible when needed, yet unobtrusive during the rest of the day.

And thus, the Bill Blade was born!
