There are two individuals who are the driving force behind the creation of the Bill Blade: Glen and Will. They each brought unique skills and resources to the table, resulting in a successful partnership.

Glen, the visionary behind this invention, had two crucial components: an innovative idea and a boat. He recognized the need for a practical and efficient tool that could be easily accessible while not interfering with daily activities.

Will, on the other hand, possessed two vital elements necessary for the creation of the product and a fruitful collaboration: a well-equipped machine shop and Glen’s friendship and trust. Their shared vision and mutual understanding laid the foundation for the birth of the Bill Blade.

It all began in late March of 2015 when Glen paid a visit to Will’s shop. In just about an hour, they managed to transform two old credit cards into a basic shape that would perfectly fit the bill of a cap or visor. The material had to meet specific criteria – lightweight, manageable, and non-interfering with the hat’s functionality.

They wanted the knife to be readily available when needed, yet unobtrusive during the rest of the day. This balance between accessibility and practicality was crucial in ensuring that the Bill Blade seamlessly integrated into the user’s daily routine.

And thus, the Bill Blade was born!
